At the Outset

I intend this thing to be an irregular and erratic communique from a Briton conscious of the peril in which his civilisation now finds itself. It may get read by cranks and lunatics, but if only a handful of people who share similar views find it, and derive some comfort or a sense of affirmation from it, then it will have served its purpose.
